Merton College was founded in 1264 and boasts a library in Mob Quadrangle that holds the record for the longest functioning library for university academics in the world. Its chapel is just as venerable being a centre for worship for over seven hundred years. Its tower has eight bells and these will be rung to celebrate St. George on April 23rd.
