This delightful village which takes its name from a ford crossing and a Knight in 1166 – Sir Simon Brett lies on the north western edge of The Quantocks, in Somerset. The church’s dedication to ST.GEORGE might well be attributed to Adam Brett in 1306. Today the ringers ring out from its 6 bells as they will again to cheer us all on April 23rd.
