The City of Lincoln will celebrate St. George

Lincoln was formed from a fort built by the Romans in AD 48. Later in the 10th C a suburb grew called Wigford (‘creek’) and is here in the oldest church in the city, St. Mary Le Wigford, that The City of Lincoln Company of Civic Ringers will ring a quarter peal for St. George, April 23rd.
