BLACKBURN will be joining in
There has been a church on the site since as far back as AD 596 whose timbers gave way to a stone built building. This church of St. Mary the Virgin was elevated to cathedral status as recently as 1926 and has played a significant role in the local county and now its wonderful 10 bells will be ringing out for St. George.
