14 magnificent bells will be ringing from CANTERBURY Cathedral – England’s No1, granted UNESCO status. They will be rung by a wonderful band of volunteer ringers from the SW Tower, known as The Oxford Tower in celebration of England’s Patron Saint, ST.GEORGE. This famous city stands on the Great Stour river and has become an international educational centre with The Kings School being the oldest surviving school in the world. It became a centre of pilgrimage following the martyrdom of Thomas a Becket in 1170 and this Kentish city continues to be a hugely successful tourist attraction.
