There will be the sound of bells ringing across the gently rolling valleys of Somerset as the volunteer ringers take to the ropes to celebrate ENGLAND’S DAY, ST. GEORGE’S DAY on Saturday, 23rd April. Among the many will be St. Mary Walton in CLEVEDON with 6 bells, St. Mary in STANTON DREW with 5 bells, St. Michael and All Angels in EAST COKER with 8 bells and a special cheer for BRUSHFORD. Here at St. Nicholas there will be new ringers who will attempt for the first time to ring out for ST.GEORGE. Go and cheer them on.
