This time its the West Riding of Yorkshire that will be represented not only by lovely churches but also its WAKEFIELD Cathedral. The building was redesigned by the architect Sir Gilbert Scott and now has the tallest spire in Yorkshire. Though it houses a ring of 14 great bells only 12 are normally rung but they will still make a magnificent sound ringing out across the rolling dales by their volunteer ringers and all for ST.GEORGE, England’s Patron Saint. Listen out and cheer them on.
