NEWCASTLE will lead The North East in ringing

The great sound of the 12 bells from the Cathedral Church of St. Nicholas will be heard throughout Tyneside and echoing across into the beautiful countryside of Northumberland. It is aptly named after the patron saint of sailors and boats and in 1882 it became the country’s most northerly cathedral.
