On England’s Eastern Borders – WORCESTER will ring for ST.GEORGE

WORCESTER Cathedral can boast of 15 brilliant bells which will be ringing out on APRIL 23rd for ST.GEORGE. It sits high up on a bank in an idyllic position overlooking the River Servern on one side and the city’s cricket pitch on the other. Whilst its foundations were in 680 the actual cathedral building was started in 1084.  It has several Royal connections including the burial place of King John and was instrumental in and suffered badly from The Civil War. The Cathedral is now a centre of learning for ‘change ringing’ so why not go along and try your hand at the ropes and learn to ring in time for next year’s St. George’s Day!
