“I am delighted by the idea of 44,000 bell ringers ringing 28,000 bells in churches across England on St. George’s Day. It is indeed a day that should be celebrated and the age old tradition of bell ringing is a wonderful way to do this.
2012 will be an exciting year for campanologists, with the prominent roles bell ringing will play not only in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations but also the Olympic and Paralympic Games. I wish all those involved the best of luck.
I hope your campaign continues to go from strength to strength and I look forward to hearing the bells of London ringing out on 23rd April”
